What we use
Dinelytics is a low-tracking product. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use a small number of strictly necessary storage items to run the site, plus Google's Maps search on our signup page — that one loads whenever you open the signup page, because searching for your restaurant is how signing up works, and Google may set its own cookies when it does. Cookieless analytics load only if you consent. You control the non-essential ones with the banner and the button below.
Storage we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Category | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| dinelytics_consent | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choices | Strictly necessary | Until you clear it / re-consent |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers light/dark appearance | Strictly necessary | Until you clear it |
| Vercel Web Analytics | No cookie | Privacy-friendly, cookieless page metrics | Analytics (consent) | Aggregated |
| Google Maps | Third-party cookies | Restaurant search on the signup page — required to sign up | Strictly necessary | Set by Google |
| ops_auth | First-party cookie | Keeps our own team signed in to the internal operations page | Strictly necessary | 30 days |
Strictly necessary items don't require consent under the ePrivacy rules. We treat the Google Maps restaurant search as necessary to deliver the signup you asked for — but if you'd rather not load it, that page also lets you type your restaurant name and Google Maps link in by hand. Analytics only load after you agree.
